What is it that makes you select a particular commercial consultancy?

Experienced consultants, responsiveness, value for money? You would like to think so, but most decisions are not made logically, but instinctively. As a result are you really sure that your current consultants are offering what you really require.

MBM is a modern, forward thinking and dynamic consultancy which wants to make a difference to its Clients by improving their bottom line. MBM can offer all the support provided by larger practices but more importantly we can be trusted to provide genuine high quality services and practical, cost-effective commercial solutions. As a niche practice we see our size as a distinct advantage. We are owner managed so that decisions and advice are not linked to shareholders and short term profit. Each Client, regardless of size, is valued and respected highly. We aim to provide balanced objective advice, where we can work with you rather than for you.

We always seek to provide practical solutions to your problems. We do not give 'text book' answers or, theoretical advice, but strive to apply our contractual understanding into the commercial context to provide the best possible solution along with a practical plan for moving forward. We understand the 'big picture' and aim always to provide unbiased and independent advice, but also appreciate commercial reality and strive to develop the most commercially beneficial way forward. It may not always be the most palatable, but you can always be assured that when asked for advice, what you get will be our honest view of your problem and its potential pros and cons. From this position we can then seek to develop a strategy to maximise your commercial position.

Clients can be left frustrated by advice which concentrates on 'strategy' and 'clever' interpretations of the law whilst at the same time failing to delve into the detail. We are fully aware of the Law, but are not fixated about it. Often commercial difficulties on construction and engineering projects are not about law; they're about detail. If there is a more practical approach, through negotiation perhaps, or third party intervention, we'll propose it to you. Once a way forward has been agreed, MBM is more than willing to get involved in the detail to ensure that documentation produced is to the highest standards possible. After all we never forget that our success is wholly dependent on yours.
