SERVICES
COMMERCIAL
MANAGEMENT & PLANNING
Far
too often projects are managed on site in the “usual way”. Scant regard is
made to the contract and its specific requirements and
management at all levels can sometimes be heedless of the need to meet
specific contractual obligations; preferring to manage their projects 'the way
I've always done it'. At MBM we realise that
failure to understand and adhere to the specific obligations of your contract
could reduce cash flow and ultimately lose you money. MBM provides effective
commercial management that appreciates contractual requirements and sound
commercial practice ensuring that you maximise the potential from each and
every project.
Our
services range from project reviews and audits, where we can identify general
risks and opportunities, to developing commercial management procedures based
on the requirements of your specific contract through to administering and
monitoring these procedures on site and reporting back to senior management.
Our
knowledge and experience allows us to see and appreciate the big picture
whilst dealing effectively with detail on site.
The
complexity of modern projects and their contractual arrangements typically means
that project delivery has to meet predetermined dates and adhere to an agreed
programme. MBM’s planning
services appreciate the requirements of contracts such as NEC, FIDIC
and IChemE to
produce programmes that are dynamic management tools whilst
also being contractually compliant. These can be monitored
and updated to reflect progress on site and used to model the effects of
proposed or actual change occurring on site. Our knowledge of the major
software packages allows us to review and monitor progress and provide
alternatives in order to work more efficiently and cost effectively.
At
whatever stage you need assistance we can be called upon to be your trusted
advisor. A friendly yet proactive approach means that we can fit seamlessly
into your existing team or manage a whole commission from start to finish.
